Re: public-webplatform-news?

Hi, Janet:

We set up a list specifically for announcements and news. This is for folks
in the wider community who do not want to track the daily, workings of
public-webplatform, but who may want to help us spread the word, post our
volunteer opportunities, etc. For instance, we have university contacts who
may want to know that we have great volunteer opportunities here.

We added some folks on the community and recruiting task force to start
with.

I received a notification that I have been subscribed to this (new?) mailing
list. The notfication email did not contain a description of the purpose of
the mailing list.

Perhaps this new mailing list was discussed in last Friday's conference
call. I missed that because I was traveling. I haven't seen minutes posted
to this list.

Can someone enlighten me? (About this topic, that is)
