ID2020 Identity and Payments

Hi all,

This is tangentially related to the work we're doing in this group. This
coming weekend is the ID2020 Design Summit, which is exploring how
blockchain technology may be used to establish self-sovereign identity.

We have a spectrum of people that care about identity in this group. At
one end of the spectrum, there are some in this community that believe
that identity and payments are inextricably linked while others feel
that you can cleanly separate payments from identity. Regardless of
where you stand on this issue, the papers are interesting and suggest
partial/potential solutions to global KYC/AML regulatory requirements.
