Hey all, Just a quick update that the Linked Data in JSON Community Group hit a milestone today with the request to move JSON-LD to an official standards track at the W3C: http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-rdf-wg/2012May/0480.html This is a big deal because the PaySwarm work depends on a solid JSON-LD specification, and with the request above, we're making a very strong statement that JSON-LD is ready for very broad developer feedback. If we're successful with the push for standardization, it would make JSON-LD the very first specification to make it through the new W3C Community Group process. We don't have an idea on the time frame to an official standard right now, but would expect at least 6 months of review (at a minimum). Technically, we already have the minimum requirements necessary to make it through the W3C process... but we're making sure that we have everything lined up to make the standardization process as smooth as possible. -- manu -- Manu Sporny (skype: msporny, twitter: manusporny) Founder/CEO - Digital Bazaar, Inc. blog: PaySwarm Website for Developers Launched http://digitalbazaar.com/2012/02/22/new-payswarm-alpha/
