Hi folks, Here is a proposal: I think we should take part in the SOPA/PIPA protest that will be happening across the Web in the coming week. If you don't know what SOPA/PIPA is, here is some background: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SOPA SOPA/PIPA would negatively impact the work we're doing here. Specifically, the monitoring rules and takedown notices would affect the technological solution. So far, we've determined that SOPA would require PaySwarm Authorities to cease doing business with anyone on the Web that is /accused/ of copyright violations. Keep in mind that a takedown request isn't required with SOPA and it strips away many of the safe harbor provisions for websites that host content in the DMCA. I've prepared a SOPA/PIPA protest page for the payswarm.com site, you can preview it here: http://payswarm.com/index-sopa.xhtml On Monday, we would switch the site to serve that page as the landing page from January 16th 2012 through January 19th 2012.
