I agree with Tommy here. Unless there's a good reason, it seems like added complexity with little benefit. IMO if the browser wants to default to a selected instrument based on context it has of past usage then that's (probably/maybe?) great added functionality it could provide, the handler could then influence that default indirectly after the first use anyway, but no need to build it into the spec. -- You are receiving this because you are subscribed to this thread.
