RE: Unified Web Payments Activity Glossary

Very good work, Manu and company.

Consolidating this terminology is an important part of unification and "steering" that the IG is responsible for.

Best regards,
David

Subject: Unified Web Payments Activity Glossary

We now have a unified glossary that can be shared among all of the documents produced by groups operating under the Web Payments Activity.

Thanks again to Shane for producing the new programmatic glossary, which can be found here:

https://github.com/w3c/webpayments-ig/blob/master/latest/common/terms.html

All documents, including the charter, roadmap, use cases, and capabilities will be modified over the next few weeks to refer to the same glossary.

Don't pay much attention to the content in the glossary at the moment, it's going to be cleaned up over the next few weeks by Evert and the document editors.

This glossary is special in that when a document pulls it in, only the terms that are used in the document are listed in the "terminology"
section. Unused terms are silently removed.

This approach achieves the following:

1. Ensures that all documents use the same glossary terminology across
   the Web Payments Activity.
2. Makes reading the documents easier as the terminology sections in
each document are included in the document (no need to switch back
and forth between the document and an external glossary) and only
contain terminology specific to the document.
