> I am going to resign from chair https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-webid/2024Mar/0012.html I would like to thank Jacopo for his hard work as chair. He obviously worked very hard, and won our trust. He pushed through the superset spec that we all had consensus on in July. IMHO he was then given an impossible task, partly by openlink, and partly by others. And that was to find consensus on moving forward, on WebID ED 2014, before WebID was defined consistently. I do not blame Jacopo for this. I am frustrated with the member(s) from OpenLink for changing their mind, we had a path to success, and then aggressively pursued a high risk pivot. I have for over a decade been a huge fan of OpenLink but in this case did not cover themselves with glory IMHO. I hope you will stick around in the group, Jacopo. I agreed with everything you did, until trying to take on the impossible task. Perhaps you will change your mind. I thank you for your effort, you tried to succeed, but in truth I dont think any chair could have solved the multi year impasse that the group was in, without first defining WebID. A valiant effort, thank you!
