All, A lot of energy, and time (which many of us really don't have) is being expended on what's become a pretty confusing matter. Thus, I am going to try to attempt contributing some clarity. Goals: 1. Sound WebID Description -- where "sound" implies no serialization specificity and "WebID" isn't a spec, but an HTTP URI that names an Agent 2. Fixing the Turtle specificity problem -- a problem that exists in both the old <https://dvcs.w3.org/hg/WebID/raw-file/tip/spec/identity-respec.html> and the soon to be updated newer variant of the WebID specs Regarding item #1, I believe that's working its way through to a draft. Regarding item #2, a separate item from #1, I believe we have the following routes: 1. MUST for both Turtle and JSON-LD -- many have indicated public support for this, despite being aware it's better than leaving matters as is 2. Removal of Turtle from the spec, leaving it content-type (or mime-type) agnostic -- this is a resurrected idea (i.e., it was pitched eons ago, but ended up being voted down -- I was on the losing end of that vote) 3. Using WebID-Profiles (or something along those lines) to introduce JSON-LD My question: What have I overlooked, re what's outlined above? -- Regards, Kingsley Idehen Founder & CEO OpenLink Software Home Page:http://www.openlinksw.com Community Support:https://community.openlinksw.com Weblogs (Blogs): Company Blog:https://medium.com/openlink-software-blog Virtuoso Blog:https://medium.com/virtuoso-blog Data Access Drivers Blog:https://medium.com/openlink-odbc-jdbc-ado-net-data-access-drivers Personal Weblogs (Blogs): Medium Blog:https://medium.com/@kidehen Legacy Blogs:http://www.openlinksw.com/blog/~kidehen/ http://kidehen.blogspot.com Profile Pages: Pinterest:https://www.pinterest.com/kidehen/ Quora:https://www.quora.com/profile/Kingsley-Uyi-Idehen Twitter:https://twitter.com/kidehen Google+:https://plus.google.com/+KingsleyIdehen/about LinkedIn:http://www.linkedin.com/in/kidehen Web Identities (WebID): Personal:http://kingsley.idehen.net/public_home/kidehen/profile.ttl#i :http://id.myopenlink.net/DAV/home/KingsleyUyiIdehen/Public/kingsley.ttl#this
