Another alternative would be to have the superspec mandate that subspecs should only focus on features (the statements required in support of features) and that implementors should explicitly qualify their implementations in terms of the supported serialization formats:

WebID-TLS over Turtle and JSON-LD
WebID-OIDC over JSON-LD and RDFa

This would have the benefit of negating the need to produce explicit subspecs per each format.
