Thanks for restoring some early web pages at CERN. Unfortunately you haven't restored the earliest URL, as mentioned by TimBL in his FAQ: Q: What was the first web page? A: Apart from local "file:" URLs on my machine (which was the first browser as well as the first server), the first http one (end of 1990) was basically http://nxoc01.cern.ch/hypertext/WWW/TheProject.html An alias was made so that this was later known as http://info.cern.ch/hypertext/WWW/TheProject.html http://www.w3.org/People/Berners-Lee/FAQ.html#Examples As I recall, "nxoc01" stands for "NeXT Online Controls 01", and this subdomain is not presently active.
