Winning the [refs] battle challenge is futile but I will try anyway! ☺

In order to fully appreciate Rod’s contributions [1-15] to this WG and make sure that the length of the round of applause part of today’s call is appropriately sized – I figured it’s not completely insane to recognize everything Rod did!

For [1] open sourced a utility that prints some info about the file structure (basically the header) in [2]. Based on the comment "I believe I just need to open source a utility that dumps woff2 header info so we can validate the expected things are written" [3] I believe that fulfills [1] [4].

I just sent an update for our WebEx meeting next week.
Please note that the password is required to join the WebEx meeting, and it will no longer be distributed via public email. A web page (see the link in the meeting invite) has been setup from where the password can be retrieved, but accessing that page will require you to login with your W3C account info (ID / password). The page was setup to be accessible to all currently registered WebFonts WG members – please let me know if you encounter any issues.

I have good news – the WebEx situation has been sorted out and it will be once again available for us to use. However, I am traveling this week and won’t be able to join the call, so let’s plan to restart next week, on Sep. 6. This will be our usual “late” time slot, I will send the meeting information shortly. We will keep the same schedule for “early” / “late” calls every other week.

Folks,

MIT (as the W3C host) has experienced a large amount of misuse of their WebEx facilities due to information being open to public, and have cancelled all outstanding meetings. The new meetings are supposed to be setup with the information shared privately via members-only lists, but I am not sure the WebFonts WG has a members-only list, this is something we need to work out in the near future.

For now, the call tomorrow is cancelled, but let’s keep the communication going on the WG email list – we are so close to having everything resolved that WebEx may not even be needed if we can get the remaining issues sorted out. (In Rod we trust!)
