Hello WG, Our face-to-face meeting will be held on Tuesday, Sep. 16 starting at 9:00 am at the following location: Bau Design College: Pujades, 118. 08005 Barcelona. Tel. +34 934 153 474 The exact room allocation isn't yet known, we are going to get either the boardroom or a hollow square table setup and Internet connectivity, but the building and room number are not yet known (this will most likely be decided on Monday so stay tuned for further updates). Agenda: 1. Housekeeping - review open action items, clean up and close or re-assign whenever appropriate. 2. WOFF2 spec issues: - Table directory is underspecified - review the changes and discuss what can be applied from the WOFF1 spec. - Checksum issue - the existing 'head' table checksum and transformed tables' checksums are going to be invalidated, what should we do to fix it both on the AT and UA sides Should we require AT to validate the checksums prior to encoding the input font file (I assume yes, since we 've done it for WOFF1)? Should we require the decoder to recalculate the checksums of the decompressed font (I assume yes, otherwise it may be rejected by some font engines if checksums are incorrect)? - Normalized size and algorithm for data reconstruction - should we attempt to define more rigid spec requirements or modify the language to describe the issue and leave it up to implementations to address? - 'loca' table - the description is rather brief and most of it has already been marked up as conformance statements. 3. Conformance Test Suite - put a test plan together by reviewing each conformance statement and creating a test description to cover it. (This will take up most of the time we have for the F2F, please come prepared!) - discuss time/resource availability for CTS development Looking forward to seeing many of you in BCN next week! Thank you, Vlad
