FYI - meeting info from TypeCon organizers. Cheers, Vlad -----Original Message----- From: Tamye Riggs [mailto:tamye@typesociety.org] Sent: Thursday, June 24, 2010 6:16 PM To: Levantovsky, Vladimir Cc: Christopher Slye; James Grieshaber; John Hudson Subject: Re: F2F meeting at TypeCon Hi, Vladimir. I'm really pleased that you folks are going to have the WebFonts WG meeting during TypeCon. A few answers quickly: The room won't have a projector, but we can rent a projector and screen and you can reimburse us for that expense. It would probably be fine to bring your own projector, but would need to rent a screen unless someone can bring in a portable one from their company. We had planned for the Web Fonts panel discussion to be on Sunday, but I think I can move things around to accommodate travel schedules. Let me take a look and figure out what would work. Anyone not attending the main conference or any workshops or special events would not be required to pay a registration fee - they could participate in your meeting only. If someone gives a full presentation during the main conference, their registration fee for the main program is comped. For panel discussions, comps depend on the level of participation and how many people are sitting - we can sort out the details once we see who is available and interested in being involved. If you want to do any kind of breakfast and/or coffee breaks or lunch, let me know. No outside food can be brought into the hotel for meetings - we have to go through their catering department per contract, but it's not too bad if you're only looking at things like coffee/bagels/cookies and such. Alternatively, there is a Starbucks in the hotel lobby and there are plenty of good quality, affordable lunch options in the upscale food court and sit-down restaurants in the mall across the street. We need to figure out the programming aspect ASAP, and how to dovetail the WF WG with the other people who planned to talk about web fonts. What do you envision your group's role being? Tamye
