The TypeCon programme has been published. The web fonts sessions are scheduled for the end of Friday: 4:00 pm Special Sessions The Future is Now: The Brave New World of Web Fonts A series of short presentations on Web Fonts and related topics. Speakers include Roger Black (the End User Perspective), Bryan Mason (Font Metrics), Raph Levien (Google Developments), John Hudson (WOFF), the Web Fonts Working Group, and others. 5:15 pm Panel Discussion A diverse group of professionals will discuss recent advances, future plans, and the overall impact of Web Fonts. Participants include Bryan Mason, moderator (Typekit), John Hudson (Tiro Typeworks), Christopher Slye (Adobe), Bill Davis (Ascender), (Adam Twardoch (FontLab), Raph Levien (Google), Vladimir Levantovsky (Monotype Imaging), Simon Daniels (Microsoft), Tom Phinney (Extensis), and more. I think the participant lists are preliminary, and I presume and hope that someone other than me (Tal and Erik?) will be speaking about WOFF in the first session, and perhaps Vlad or Chris would represent the Working Group?
