Hi all, i'm new to this list and was just checking the Gamepad API, it called my attention that there isn't currently support for events based on Gamepad Input, and the only considered use case is the continuous polling of the gamepad. Wouldn't it be good to support an event driven approach too? not all games need continous polling, nor continous drawing of the UI (think Nethack). Also, the dead zones are just one scalar value per axis, and i think there are (or at least there were, i had one microsoft sidewinder which had a tendency to bob to the right) Joysticks that had non-symmetrical dead zones. I see this standard proposal as a MUST for games on the web, and it's very nice to see there's already a lot of progress :-). John Villar Cell: (058)(416)926.86.45
