Dear all, As you may have heard, a new process has been put in place in W3C to manage recommendation track, since the 1st of August. You can find all the details in the mail below. The main changes in the new process is that Last Call and Candidate Recommendation are now one single step, named Candidate Recommendation (which now includes patent policy exclusion step). Note that FAQ [1] allows to understand how the migration will happen. My understanding of the new process roll out for the W3C Web Crypto WG is that we will : - go on with the Web Crypto API specification Last Call based on the 2005 process (previous version) - make a decision about managing the Web Crypto Discovery API under the 2014 process (new version) as it has not gone yet into Last Call Would you have any general question on that new process, ping the process champions : Chaals and Ian (copied) or raise question directly on public-w3process@w3.org. One reviewer withdrew a Formal Objection after reviewing the editorial changes, the creation of a Process Transition FAQ [3], and clarification that Working Groups may continue to operate under the 2005 Process for a 2-year transition period.
