All -- In teleconference discussion with all potential attendees except Dieter and Thierry, we agreed that we would not have a F2F at Sophia-Antipolis 23-25 March. The venue of Ann Arbor was agreed to be better from a number of perspectives. It was then suggested that we should slip the dates to a little later, into April. A straw poll showed that 4 favored later, 4 didn't care. (Of the 4 vendors present, 3 preferred later [one strongly] and 1 didn't care.) Factors related to late-April versus late-March: Participation: If it is in April, we will lose Dieter's participation (at least until week of 4th May). If it is any time before 27-29 April, we will lose Thierry's remote participation, and his ability to participate remotely is uncertain in the 2-3 weeks after 27-29 April. There is the possibility that we will gain Dave's attendance if it is late April. Work goals: I have had concern that the late March date (6 weeks from today), seemed too aggressive for our articulated Meeting Goals. (However, it does appear that people are now stepping up better with test and issue-related assignments.) Late April (27-29) would add 5 weeks. Impact on choice of potential F2F goals is uncertain to me at this time. We will monitor and adjust as warranted. Regards, -Lofton.
