I'm afraid it is too late to make passkey a synonym of discoverable credentials. There is no hint of discoverability in the [FIDO Alliance definition](https://fidoalliance.org/passkeys/) > Based on FIDO standards, passkeys are a replacement for passwords that provide faster, easier, and more secure sign-ins to websites and apps across a user’s devices. Unlike passwords, passkeys are always strong and phishing-resistant. > Passkeys simplify account registration for apps and websites, are easy to use, work across most of a user’s devices, and even work on other devices within physical proximity. Of course you can ignore FIDO Alliance verbiage in W3C spec, but will it make adoption easier? -- GitHub Notification of comment by ndpar Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/webauthn/pull/1901#issuecomment-1591513641 using your GitHub account -- Sent via github-notify-ml as configured in https://github.com/w3c/github-notify-ml-config
