Re: [webauthn] Q: Authenticators displaying data? (#1116)

See txAuthSimple and txAuthGeneric extensions https://www.w3.org/TR/webauthn/#sctn-simple-txauth-extension

But note that most web browsers today do not support them (yet).

Digging through WebAuthn and CTAP(2) I wasn't able to find any hint on sending data to authenticators, that show up on a display. I hope, that this is the right place to ask.

E.g.
ChipTan generators usually show transaction details (account number, amount) - c.f. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transaction_authentication_number#ChipTAN_/_Sm@rt-TAN_/_CardTAN

I'm wondering, if supplying data to be displayed using options in authenticatorGetAssertion is the way to go. If so, intuitively, it appears reasonable to define an option for data to be displayed.
