Dear Web Platform Working Group, The WebRTC Working Group is working toward publishing the Media Capture from DOM Elements API and the MediaStream Recording API as Candidate Recommendations and is therefore seeking review from a variety of groups of the documents: https://w3c.github.io/mediacapture-fromelement/ https://w3c.github.io/mediacapture-record/ We are particularly interested in feedback on the following aspects from the Web Platform Working Group: - proper usage of WebIDL (both documents) - the partial interfaces that extends the HTMLMediaElement interface defined in the HTML specification (-fromelement) - the partial interface that extends the HTMLCanvasElement interface defined in the HTML specification (-fromelement) - the use of blob (of the File API) for recorded content (-record) - the similarity of canRecordMimeType to canPlay (-record) We of course also welcome feedback on any other aspect of the specification. We would appreciate to receive feedback before January 12, 2018. We hope to request transition to Candidate Recommendation early next year for both documents. If you have any comments, we prefer that you submit them as Github issues to: https://github.com/w3c/mediacapture-fromelement/issues https://github.com/w3c/mediacapture-record/issues respectively. Alternatively, you can send your comments by email to public-mediacapture@w3.org. Thanks, For the WebRTC chairs, Stefan Hakansson
