Although there is an open CfC for some non-substantive changes to the Widget Interface [1], this is a CfC to publish a new Candidate Recommendation of this spec, provided there is consensus on [1]. The spec used as the basis of the CR is the latest ED: http://dev.w3.org/2006/waf/widgets-api/ The Exit Criteria for the CR will be the same as that used for the other widget specs, namely that two or more implementations must pass each test case. Note that this criteria is already met so the CR period will be relatively short (3 weeks): http://dev.w3.org/2006/waf/widgets-api/imp-report/ Progression to Proposed Recommendation will be blocked until both Web Storage and Web IDL are published as Candidate Recommendations. This CfC satisfies: a) the group's requirement to "record the group's decision to request advancement" to CR; and b) "General Requirements for Advancement on the Recommendation Track" as defined in the Process Document: http://www.w3.org/2005/10/Process-20051014/tr.html#transition-reqs As with all of our CfCs, positive response is preferred and encouraged and silence will be considered as agreeing with the proposal. The deadline for comments is December 5 and all comments should be sent to public-webapps at w3.org. -AB [1] http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-webapps/2011OctDec/1173.html
