RE: [WebSockets] Call for Implementations

We have some tests to update to match the spec changes (arraybufferview and unpaired surrogate pairs) and then we should be all set. I think it's reasonable to have this completed by the time the WG meets F2F at TPAC.

Subject: Fwd: [WebSockets] Call for Implementations

Hi Kris, Ms2ger, All - given a new CR of WebSocket API was published on September 20, what is the status and next step(s) for the test suite?

Do you consider it sufficient to test CR conformance? What needs to be done before a Request for Review (for approval) can be started?

-Thanks, AB

A new Candidate Recommendation of the WebSocket API was published on September 20 and that resulted in a Call for Implementations [CfI]:

http://www.w3.org/TR/2012/CR-websockets-20120920/

The root of the test suite for this spec follows. Currently, the test suite consists of submissions from Microsoft and Ms2Ger but none of the tests have been approved.

Separately, on public-webapps-testsuite [p-w-t], I will start a thread re this test suite, e.g. status, plans for approving the submitted tests, etc.

-Thanks, AB
