jyasskin left a comment (w3ctag/design-reviews#1292) The TAG as a whole hasn't discussed this, but I noticed the [`getPathSegmentAtLength()`](https://w3c.github.io/svgwg/specs/paths/#__svg__SVGPathElement__getPathSegmentAtLength) function in your Intent to Ship. Generally, "[`length`](https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/JavaScript/Reference/Global_Objects/String/length)" refers to the total length of the list, and we use [`...At(...)`](https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/JavaScript/Reference/Global_Objects/String/charAt) for functions that index into the list. When we need a name for the index, it's "[index](https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/JavaScript/Reference/Global_Objects/Array/findIndex)", not "length". I see that this function isn't treating the path as an array of elements, so `...At(...)` would probably be confusing, but I think `AtLength()` will also be confusing. What about `getPathSegmentAtDistance()`? -- Reply to this email directly or view it on GitHub: https://github.com/w3ctag/design-reviews/issues/1292#issuecomment-6350417699 You are receiving this because you are subscribed to this thread.
