tomayac left a comment (w3c/manifest#1168) > Yes, perhaps we disagree on whether "installing" websites without a Web App Manifest should fall within the scope of the Web App Manifest specification. This [Solitaire](https://www.watsonbrosgames.com/solitaire/) game is a perfect example where installation without a manifest would be desirable. The game doesn't have a manifest, but it works perfectly as an installed app. The favicon can become the icon, and the name comes from the `<title>`. Would it be better if they published a manifest? Certainly (and I reached out regarding that), but it works for my (and supposedly others') use case. -- Reply to this email directly or view it on GitHub: https://github.com/w3c/manifest/issues/1168#issuecomment-6189771668 You are receiving this because you are subscribed to this thread.
