johanneswilm left a comment (w3c/editing#520) @karintou8710 Right, the text buffer will not include any styling intormation.The mapping back and forth is a bit complex and only something dedicated text editing libraries will work on, but also not more complex than what libraries such as the ProseMirror library you mention already do. Implementing this in ProseMirror will require a substantial amount of time on the JavaScript side as the PM developer has acknowledged [1]. If you are looking more for something that is easier to engage with, there is still contenteditable and multiple open source libraries that do the hard work for you. ProseMirror is one of them. Unless you have at least five years of developer time available to invest in an editor project, I would personally suggest going with one of the libraries.
