I'm not an expert but I'm not aware of a lot of other practical use cases. 

Theoretically, there may be more cases needing granular control:
* aria-busy: on some stable element while other DOM with aria attributes is mutated
* aria-live: on some element updated with state that's independent of aria-label, etc.
