I don't think that's true. This issue was originally found [because of emojis](https://github.com/Pauan/rust-dominator/issues/10). Emojis have become incredibly commonplace and are used extensively by everybody. So I think if this was a major compat issue for Safari we would have heard about it. Just think about how many people use emojis with iOS.
