It is used by draft.js, see https://github.com/facebook/react/issues/11211 (though from my analysis, not all sites using it are broken in Firefox). Sites that were broken in Firefox due to this include [WhatsApp](https://github.com/webcompat/web-bugs/issues/13503), [Facebook](https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1739489), [Twitter](https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1633399), [Reddit](https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1739791), and [others](https://github.com/webcompat/web-bugs/issues?q=label%3Atype-event-textInput+). The top sites have been addressed by interventions and/or outreach, but for the long tail I think it's a net compat win to support the event. -- Reply to this email directly or view it on GitHub: https://github.com/w3c/uievents/issues/353#issuecomment-1620172407 You are receiving this because you are subscribed to this thread.
