(Also some [open issues](https://github.com/WICG/webcomponents/issues?q=is%3Aissue+is%3Aopen+%22%5C%5Bdom-parts%5C%5D%22+) about this updated proposal.) Perhaps we could spend the 50 minutes discussing this general idea?
