That kind of archaeology isn't well supported without using `git blame` or `git log --grep`. https://dom.spec.whatwg.org/review-drafts/ and https://dom.spec.whatwg.org/commit-snapshots/ can help somewhat perhaps, but I'm not too keen to advertise those more prominently.

Also generally we don't consider something to be compliant if it doesn't match the currently published specification.
