I really like this addition very much and I think it’ll be helpful down the line to a lot of developers trying to figure out how to get their server CORS config tuned and working in the right way for their use cases.

The only thing I don’t like about this is the existing statement that encourages sending 403 errors. So I would be glad if as part of this PR, we dropped that — but I also don’t want to block this PR on that getting removed. We could make it separate PR or issue for further discussion.
