To be clear, this very discussion was used as supporting evidence for the Node developers of the Fetch API to reject the idea of changing their code. https://github.com/node-fetch/node-fetch/pull/795#issuecomment-625832159 This is like the spiderman meme where there's a whole circle of identical spider men standing around pointing at each other.
