No, I want an end to the situation where an essential building block of the internet has two incompatible specifications that cannot be unified because the one that describes the behaviour of web browsers does so by a long stretch of convoluted pseudocode to describe a monolith function that mixes parsing with normalisation, resolution, percent encoding _and_ updates to URL components. Indeed, an _update_ to RFC 3986 to include browser behaviour would be really, really great. Unfortunately that requires reverse engineering this standard.
