@NekR The Firefox prompt starts as just the house icon in: ![Firefox Add to Homescreen ambient badge before click](https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/83420/70952362-da2f6880-201a-11ea-9f3c-e39046eec3e4.png) which I think isn't intrusive, although it does show even when you're not logged in. (Perhaps a use case for [setLoggedIn](https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-webappsec/2019Sep/0004.html)...)
