@garykac thanks for clarification! My understating is WICG is the incubation pool where we bake ideas to see if there is an interest in implementing it by browser vendors and also to asses community interest. All of the modern browsers have support for execCommand and it is heavily used in the wild, so I am not sure what we gain from moving it to WCIG? The fact that the spec is an unofficial draft stage says about a need in discussion among interested parties to standardize the behavior, sooner or later. -- You are receiving this because you are subscribed to this thread.
