There's also been various demand for more expressive scopes, e.g., being able to opt-in and opt-out of various patterns. https://github.com/w3c/ServiceWorker/issues/566 and https://github.com/w3c/ServiceWorker/issues/1085 are some examples. I think we should take care to have a solution that meets the big use cases instead of a quick fix now.
