I agree with this. I appreciate it must be incredibly hard to work on specs and and the same time keep it open, but reactions which minimise external contribution only serve to ostracise the wider community. I _want_ to try help, and I'm happy to be told my ideas aren't going to work, or I'm not communicating them well enough, but there's got to be a better way of doing that while keeping the community open.
