The "laugh" here along with the comment seems a bit condescending. We're outsiders of the W3C desperately trying to have our say in context of our *extensive* experience in working with these APIs and being in close working contact with other communities. Though, subtle, this downplays that and makes outsiders less motivated to participate which is bad for the specs. Can we please have a discussion here that places a bit more weight on non-W3C members experience?
