>the app is no longer coercing the user to do anything The usual app in fact never coerces anyone, it trades access to the app's services for a user's private data: it is not going to arrest/kill/hurt/torture/destroy anyone, anyone's friends and relatives or anyone's property. That's why I call it a greenmail, not a blackmail.
