Thanks for the description, I agree this is an important scenario.  I think getting browsers to ship [GeometryUtils](https://hacks.mozilla.org/2014/04/coordinate-conversion-made-easy/) will be easier (and more powerful) than getting them to ship an extension to TouchEvents.
