Re: [editing-explainer] How can sites access browser spellchecking? (#36)

Since an end user can't even tell whether a given word spans across multiple elements or not, I don't see how we can justfiy such a constriant.  Also, editors already need to support deletion across multiple elements when the user presses backspace or when a user pastes text by replacing multiple elements so I don't see how this will many editor implementation any easier.
