@Reinmar Actually, trying your fiddle in Chrome: http://jsfiddle.net/92s48f87/3/ works fine. But trying it in Firefox means that one cannot reach the red part by moving the caret up down. So at least for Firefox, you need to implement the movement in JS anyway.
