>From what I've heard, it's only due to UA sniffing.  EdgeHTML includes 'Webkit' in it's UA, so in general plans to copy WebKit bugs where it matters for interop and we don't have a clear plan to solve them.  My hope was that we could still solve this before it gets worse - if I can make the change stick in blink then EdgeHTML and WebKit would hopefully find it relatively easy to follow suit.
