I'm sorry, I was thinking of the values behind the Date instances. You are
completely correct.

Regarding the property name, I just think we'd have a smoother transition if we
have a new property with a different name. I have no data suggesting that we
need to worry about this though, so feel free to ignore me.

I just learned that lastModified might be a bad name choice, because the DOM
specification defines a lastModified attribute on Document that is a DOMString.
