Hi folks, Microsoft has suggested [1] that the WebAPI group take on the XDR spec as a deliverable. (For other administrative reasons, the WebAPI group as a whole may have a successor group that is slightly different, but broadly would include the same set of deliverables. For now I am assuming that there will be a WebAPI group or something recognisably the same thing long enough to work on such a spec). We will therefore hold a survey of Working Group members, to determine how much support there is for this. Since this is an administrative matter, it is not open to the public under the current charter - we will however publish the result (in aggregate form). Because most discussion has taken place on teh public list already, and because openness is generally good, I encourage people who have anything to add to the discussion to continue with the public thread (changing subjects as necesasry please, for people who try to follow the archive later. The rough survey results should be available in about two weeks. Note that this will not be a binding vote - it is an attempt to clarify the general level of support and help determine the best way forward.
