Hello everyone, I am Jérémy Lemée, a PhD student in Computer Science and Research Assistant at the University of St. Gallen in Simon Mayer's group. I am working on developing Web-based Multi-Agent Systems. I started working on this topic with my Master thesis about developing signifiers for agents on the Web. The idea of the thesis was that agents are able to perceive signifiers in a Web environment and use them to discover how to achieve their goals at run time. The perception of these signifiers can be personalized based on the agent's abilities and objectives throuh a Signifier Exposure Mechanism that determines the signifiers each agent is perceiving. This thesis later led to an article "Signifiers for Affordance-driven Multi-Agent Systems" [1] presented at EMAS 2022. An article that deepens the contribution will be presented at AAMAS 2023 [2]. I am currently working on the IntellIoT project (https://intelliot.eu/) to develop an intelligent Web of Things system. This project uses a Hypermedia Multi-Agent System to control Web of Things devices exposing Thing Descriptions. Our system is applied to the agriculture and manufacturing use cases.. An extended abstract, that will be presented at AAMAS 2023, describes our approach [3]. My current research interest is how hypermedia agents, which are heterogenous in terms of architecture, skills, and knowledge, can use the Web in order to enable an agent to benefit from a skill or knowledge possessed by another agent to achieve its goal. I plan to build my PhD on these topics. Yours sincerely, Jérémy Lemée [1] Lemee, J., Vachtsevanou, D., Mayer, S., & Ciortea, A. (2022, May). Signifiers for Affordance-driven Multi-Agent Systems.
