Introduction: Jan Grau

Dear all,

I am a master student at the School of Computer Science at the University of St.Gallen in Switzerland and I have the honor to be a student of Prof. Simon Mayer and Prof. Andrei Ciortea. Next to my master I am a research assistant at the School of Computer Science as well. At the moment I am working on a research project to use methodologies of the semantic web to simplify and improve the reporting on greenhouse gas emissions.

I am coming from the field of Business Intelligence (BI), where I have been working on projects for large-size-companies in Switzerland for more than seven years and am now broadening my perspective in the domain of the semantic web and especially in autonomous agents on the web. At the moment I have the great possibility to be enrolled in the course "Web-Based Autonomous Systems" by Prof. Andrei Ciortea, which equips me with all the different concepts and methodologies to embark upon new projects in this realm.

I am greatly anticipating the opportunity to collaborate and engage in insightful discussions pertaining to this topic.
