@annevk Your comment about comments is a good one and was something I was thinking about as I was going. I wonder if there is some room in my comments to decouple them _ever so slightly_ (e.g. do away with any step numbers or over-specific formatting). On the other hand, while it does introduce a faith in future maintainers to keep things fresh, I think your clause about

> maybe that's actually helpful as it shows we might have to revisit some things.

Is inspiring. I'm not arguing having the entire spec text word-for-word in comments, but being explicit about spec connections in tests, I believe, can help people in the future spot changes, gaps in coverage, and discrepancies faster.

I'm interested to hear more feedback on this.
