FWIW, we're almost done with our Beacon implementation. The two outstanding issues that I know of are: 1. Details of what "settings object" to use. My understanding is that we need to be more explicit about which document to use for things like referrer, cors origin and base-urls. Hopefully we can bring consistency across APIs like "new Image()", XMLHttpRequest, WebSocket and sendBeacon. 2. Should we allow beacons without a request body.
