Me: My main W3C responsibility is being the team contact for the
HTML Working Group -- working on helping that group and its chairs
(Paul Cotton, Sam Ruby, and Maciej Stachowiak) get the HTML5 to
Last Call (which is really more like First Call in this case)
within the next few months.

But along with that, I'm the W3C staff contact for this group, and
I also help with the Web Applications Working Group (though Doug
Schepers is the driving force from the W3C staff side there) --
and in general, I help with work at W3C on core specifications for
browsing technologies and for building Web apps.

I've been at the W3C for about 3.5 years now. I previously worked
at Opera for a while, and before that, at Phone.com/Openwave.

I'm looking forward to working together with the members of this
group to get an solid spec for Web Notifications published at W3C,
and to help see it get implemented across UAs and out to users.
